Snow, snow, snow here in NJ today.. Major blizzard heading our way - weee hooo!

I've been getting lots of emails from around the world inquiring about my song "At This Moment" which has aired on the soaps Bold And Beautiful and One Life To Live on CBS.

"At This Moment" is a song that I wrote specifically for a scene in OLTL on CBS for an episode that aired 6/11/04. It was recently aired on B&B in the US & Internationally. This song has not been released on any of my 7 released ep's/albums.

If you live in America and watch TV, you’ve heard Russ Bonagura’s voice and music.

For starters, all across the US television viewers have heard Bonagura’s jingle "I Like It On That", the theme song for Santa Fe Salsa’s nationwide promotion launch of the product line. This began airing in Dec 2006 and runs thru 2008 on all major networks. In addition, many of this diverse artists’ songs have been aired on National TV shows including, The Young And The Restless, One Life To Live and All My Children to name a few. "Take A Minute", Russ’ first radio single (from his 6^th CD "Pieces") spent 12 weeks in the top 30 across the US on the A/C 40 chart peaking at #24 and sharing the chart with such artists as; Maroon 5, Norah Jones & John Mayer in 2003. Both the song and the music video for "Take A Minute" have been aired on ABC, VH1 & Fuse. This video can be seen on Russ’ website:

Russ’ new CD "Songs For People" (his 7^th) is a special recording for Bonagura since it includes a bonus track, "You And I" that his father wrote and recorded with his two uncles in 1958. Russ dusted off the 50 year-old 45-RPM record and decided to pay homage to his father’s work. Russ lost his father at age 7 and, incorporating this family recorded gem on his CD (scratches and all) gave Russ the opportunity to record with his Dad. The original track is the intro and it morphs into a new version with Russ now on lead vocals in a duet with his father.

To add more of a "family affair touch" to "You And I" Russ asked his 83 year old uncle (the last living from the original record), his older brother and his 3 young children to sing background. Made possible by modern technology, there are now 3 generations of Bonagura’s singing on this song. A wonderful, heartfelt story for this close family of musicians, "You And I" was originally written by Russ’ Dad as a pledge of love to his Mom and now, it is a unifying record that touches the essence of his family and anyone who listens.

A child prodigy who was singing, learned to play bass, guitar, and drums all by age 10 and formed his first band at age 13, Russ Bonagura has been on the road to establishing himself as a career-oriented singer/songwriter since the early days of his teens. A staple on the East Coast music scene, performing over 100 live gigs per year, Russ says his new CD is "a diverse collection of music that comes from the heart".

NASHVILLE PROJECT 2006!

In case you didn't know ---- I've been working with some new folks and  doin' something a little different - recording my new stuff in Nashville with my long lost cousin, Michael Bonagura  producing! Michael and his wife Kathie have a great band called Baillie And The Boys... They have been very successful in the Country music scene since the 80's - check out their site www.baillieandtheboys.com... I'm very excited about this project!! Keep y'all posted. This project found Russ recording with some of Tennessees finest session players including Mike Brignardello (Lonetar, Faith Hill), Howard Duck (Rascal Flatts), Pat Buchanan (James Taylor), Stuart Duncan (Tim McGraw) and Lance Hoppen (Orleans)......

VH1 - BANDS REUNITED - SCANDAL; First Aired Nov. 2004/2005:

Thanks for all the nice emails regarding the VH1 Bands Reunited show - I am happy to have been a part of it. Hearing and seeing us live on VH1 was very nice as well ;)!
